The Southeast Missouri Central Labor Council will host a "Solidarity Candlelight Vigil" at 8 p.m. Monday at Capaha Park's Freedom Corner, the northwest corner of the intersection and Broadway and North West End Boulevard.
The vigil is intended to honor the accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the anniversary of his death as well as remind people that his dream lives on.
The gathering is expected to begin at 7:30 p.m., with speakers to address the crowd at 8 p.m.
