Help for filling out financial aid forms for college will be available at the FAFSA Frenzy, set from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 9 at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Higher Education. Many colleges and universities use the application to determine eligibility for financial assistance and scholarship programs, the release said. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form every year to be eligible for most types of federal and state financial aid, including grants, loans and scholarships, the release said. FAFSA Frenzy, a program of College Goal Sunday, is a free statewide event where financial aid experts help high school students and their parents complete the form, according to a news release from Southeast. FAFSA events also are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 11 at Southeast Missouri State University-Kennett; from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 13 at Southeast Missouri State University-Malden; and from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 18 at Southeast Missouri State University-Sikeston.
