Southeast Missouri State University has received awards in three national advertising and marketing contests.
"These awards are the result of the effort of some very creative people here at Southeast," said Dr. Dale Nitzschke, university president.
The awards recognized the work of the university relations staff.
Several units were honored with admissions advertising awards sponsored by the national Admissions Marketing Report magazine.
The office of publications-public service, headed by Juan Crites, received major awards for overall programs in the categories of total advertising campaign and total public relations program for its admissions recruitment efforts.
The office also received awards for internal publication, international business brochure, student life brochure, radio advertising for the Southeast PM program and the university catalog.

Southeast also was honored for its Internet home page.
This year's national Admissions Advertising Awards competition involved more than 1,800 entries in 27 categories from over 500 institutions.
Earlier this year, the university was honored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education or CASE.
The school received six awards. The office of publications won four awards. The school also received an award for the campus newsletter and another in the category of opinion/editorial for a letter to the editor written in support of last year's proposed Challenge Scholarship in Missouri.
The office of publications also was honored in the Addy competition at the local level with a "Citation of Excellence" for its presidential inauguration marketing efforts.
