A story hour will be held Friday at 7 p.m. on the Southeast Missouri State University campus. The guest speaker, Tonya Merritt, is teaching at Christian School for the Young Years in Cape Girardeau. She has taught early elementary and preschool children for the past 16 years in both Illinois and Missouri. Merritt has also served as a private preschool consultant, teacher with the Head Start Program and as a presenter of storytelling workshops for preschool educators...

A story hour will be held Friday at 7 p.m. on the Southeast Missouri State University campus.

The guest speaker, Tonya Merritt, is teaching at Christian School for the Young Years in Cape Girardeau.

The fee for the performance is $1 for adults and 50 cents for children. Tickets will be sold at the University Center, where the program will be held.

The story hour is sponsored by Workshop on Wheels and the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts, with financial assistance from the Missouri Arts Council.
