American Sign Language instructor Jackie Cole, right, speaks by signing with interpreter Maria Reardon, left, to students in the introductory ASL class Monday, March 10, 2014 at SEMO Alliance for Disability Independence, 755 S. Kingshighway, in Cape Girardeau. The class is designed for parents, family members, friends, co-workers or neighbors of deaf people who need to communicate with them. Registration is still open for the weekly classes that will continue on Mondays from 6 to 8 p.m. through May 12.
