The Southeast Missourian's website, semissourian.com, received a major upgrade Thursday.
The site's facelift, months in the making, is aimed at improving navigation and the overall experience for users. The front page of the site will now have sections for business, features and sports.
"I'm excited to see what our online readers think of this upgrade," editor Bob Miller said. "We pay close attention to how our readers use the site and these changes were made so that readers could access more stories they might have otherwise missed. Beyond the organization of the pages, our talented webmaster James Baughn added a lot of new bells and whistles."
The timing of the change was coordinated to follow Election Day, when more than 21,000 unique visitors and 121,000 pageviews were reported.
Any questions or comments about the design can be sent to online products manager Matt Sanders at msanders@semissourian.com.
