The McCain-Palin campaign announced today the GOP vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will be in Cape Girardeau this week.
The veep nominee is scheduled to appear at the Show Me Center on Thursday morning. The announcement set off a rush to buy tickets at the local Republican party headquarters in Cape Girardeau. Cape Girardeau police are looking for a man believed to have robbed the AM PM convenience store at 1101 William St. this morning. Police describe the suspect as a tall black male in a black hooded sweat shirt who may be driving a "long black car" with tinted windows.
