JACKSON -- The needs of gifted children will be the topic of a seminar sponsored by St. Francis Medical Center Wednesday.
"Understanding the Special Needs of Gifted Children" will be held from 7-9 p.m. at the St. Francis Information Center at Jackson.
Helen Nevitts, who holds a doctorate in educational psychology with an emphasis in gifted education, will present facts concerning the intellectual and emotional development of gifted children. She will discuss ways that parents, child-care providers and teachers can help gifted children maximize their talents.
Although the seminar is free of charge, space is limited and pre-registration is requested. For information, call 243-5222.
