ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Police and Washington University officials are taking extra precautions after two students were robbed at gunpoint two days after another student was sexually assaulted.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Thursday that the crimes occurred just outside of the St. Louis campus but appear to be unrelated to the near-fatal beating of a student in off-campus housing in 2009.

A 20-year-old student was robbed and sexually assaulted about 12:30 a.m. Monday as she walked down a street. On Wednesday, two undergraduate students were robbed at gunpoint about 1:50 a.m. They were not injured.
