Sections of I-55, Route PP, Highway 177 to be closed for repairs this week

• A section of Highway 177 in Cape Girardeau County will be closed to traffic Wednesday while Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a pipe under the road. Weather permitting, the work will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a section of road between Peace Pipe Lane and Mohave Lane. The work area will be marked with signs.

* A section of Route PP in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to a single lane of traffic through Tuesday while MoDOT crews make drainage repairs. Weather permitting, the work will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday on a section of road from Dogwood Avenue to Farmington Road.

* A portion of northbound Interstate 55 in Scott County will be limited to a single lane of traffic with a 16-foot width restriction this week while MoDOT crews make pavement repairs. Weather permitting, the work will begin at 7 a.m. Monday and end at 3 p.m. Friday on a section of road from Highway 77 at Benton, Mo., to U.S. 61 at Scott City.
