SECTIONAL BRIDGE TOURNEY WILL BEGIN TODAY IN CAPE

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The annual American Contract Bridge League Sectional Tournament will be held this weekend at the Cape Girardeau Holiday Inn.

The "Showers of Silver" tournament is sponsored by the Sikeston and Cape Duplicate Bridge Clubs. Organizers are expecting 125 to 200 bridge players from across the nation to attend the tournament.

Play will begin Friday at 1:30 p.m. Another session Friday will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday sessions are slated for 1:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday's play will be at 11 a.m. until about 7 p.m.

Sunday will feature a "Swiss Team Event," while Friday and Saturday will feature regular "Match Points" bridge.
