Section of Bloomfield Road to close for repairs

Fronabarger Concreters expects to close the Bloomfield Road and County Road 206 intersection beginning Wednesday. Detours will be in place to guide travelers around the site using Route K, Interstate 55 and Highway 74. The closure is expected to continue for approximately 60 days until Nov. 16, depending on weather.

Utility work at the intersection is expected to take approximately three weeks. The major construction of retaining walls and pavement at the intersection will follow immediately after the utility relocations.

Other work, including the multiuse trail and retaining wall work, will continue along Bloomfield Road from Stonebridge Drive to County Road 206.

Paving operations on Bloomfield Road are also expected to be completed within the same time frame.
