CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) -- The second of two Illinois State Police troopers wounded in a southern Illinois shootout is out of the hospital.
Brian Dickmann was wounded along with Darren Lindsey last week while they were serving a search warrant in a Williamson County drug case.
Officers during the raid announced who they were but a man inside the house, identified as 61-year-old William Patrich, opened fire and struck two troopers. Patrich was killed in the gunfire.
Dickmann is the son of Edwardsville's city administrator.
