Cape Girardeau police are searching for three men suspected of robbing an 18-year-old man Sunday morning.
Cpl. Adam Glueck of the Cape Girardeau Police Department said that shortly before 3 a.m. near the corner of Frederick Street and Washington Avenue the victim was walking to his Cape Girardeau residence when he was approached by three men. The victim told police that one man with dreadlocks and no shirt grabbed him from behind, forcing him to the ground.
The three men then took an iPod and a bottle of medication used to treat anxiety. The victim also reported his eyeglasses were broken during the incident.
The unarmed suspects then fled. No one was injured, Glueck said.
No suspects have been identified.
