The Presidential Search and Screening Committee at Southeast Missouri State University continues to collect applications and supporting materials in its effort to find a successor to Southeast President Kenneth Dobbins.

During a Thursday conference call with Parker Executive Search, the firm hired by the university's board or regents to help find a new leader, the committee was updated on candidates whose credentials recently were uploaded to a secure website.

Committee chairman Doyle Privett said Friday the panel now has "additional materials and CVs [curriculum vitae] to look at."

The process is on-schedule to interview candidates off-site Feb. 2 and 3, with campus interviews later that month. Privett earlier said plans are to make an offer to someone during the last week of February or no later than the first week of March.

The university's board of regents hired Parker Executive Search after Dobbins' Sept. 8 announcement of his intention to retire. The university is contracted to pay the Atlanta company $82,500, plus expenses such as travel, advertising and interview costs. Dobbins' effective retirement date is June 30.

The job was posted Nov. 6, and the application deadline is Dec. 31.

Dobbins' base salary for fiscal year 2015 is $235,000. He receives an annuity of $65,000, and on-campus housing is provided by the university.

Privett, who also is president of the university's board of regents, said by Jan. 8, the search committee will have access to all candidate materials on the secure site.
