SCOUTS COLLECT PAPER, CANS MAY 11

JACKSON -- The Girl Scouts of Tsalagi Service Unit in Jackson and Oak Ridge will collect newspapers and aluminum cans for recycling on Saturday, May 11.

Residents are asked to bring the items to the Wal-Mart parking lot in Jackson between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The event will be co-sponsored by AAL Branch #1621.

People are asked to place newspapers in paper bags and separate magazines and catalogs from the newspapers. Plastic bags, phone books and strings should also be removed from donations.

The event will be held rain or shine.
