The fourth annual Scott Wright Memorial Cornhole Classic benefitting Special Olympics Missouri was held Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at Knights of Columbus Hall, 318 Spanish Street in Cape Girardeau. The cornhole tournament included an adult and youth division for children 12 and younger, with cash and other prizes awarded to top performers in each category. Wright participated in Special Olympics starting when he was 8-years-old, and died Jan. 18, 2018, at age 38 after a battle with cancer. Funds generated from the tournament go toward Special Olympics Missouri programming in Wright’s honor.
