SCOTT CITY -- Scott City School Board members adopted a list of goals for the upcoming school year at Wednesday's board meeting.
Some of the goals are to be positive about Scott City Schools and develop positive relationships with students and parents, officials said.
Also at the meeting, Superintendent Doug Berry announced that the school was cooperating with Southeast Missouri State University in planning a health fair.
The fair will be voluntary for school employees and will include tests for blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels. It is scheduled for Oct. 31.
In other business, the board voted to set a tax rate hearing at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 16. The proposed tax rate is set at $2.75, the minimum rate required by law. The figure was unchanged from the current tax rate.
