BENTON, Mo. -- A Haywood City, Mo., man arrested Saturday for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend was charged Monday by Scott County Prosecuting Attorney Paul Boyd.

Antonio Tyler, 32, was charged with first-degree domestic assault for allegedly punching, kicking and throwing framed photographs at his girlfriend after having an argument.

The victim was transported to a Cape Girardeau hospital and treated for fractures to her jaw and cuts and bruises, according to a news release from the Scott County Sheriff's Department.

Tyler was behind held Monday in the Scott County jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
