Scott County Sheriff's Office deputies spent a lot of time putting handcuffs on people at one Morley, Missouri, home last week.

Deputies on Monday arrested David D. Kelley, 41, after a search at his home at 358 Ault in Morley, on drug charges, and Leslie A. Jarboe, 53, of Richland, Missouri, who had an outstanding warrant for drug charges, before returning Thursday to also arrest Patty Lynn Tanner, 59, of Morley on drug charges, and Rollen D. Newsom, 38, of Sikeston, Missouri, who also had an outstanding warrant for drug charges.

A tip that someone with an outstanding warrant could be found at the residence led deputies to visit it Monday, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Deputies also were told people there were involved in the manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine, the release stated.

Kelley let the deputies in, where they observed in plain view items associated with distribution of controlled substances.

As a result of Monday's search, Kelley was charged with two felony counts of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance and felony possession of a methamphetamine precursor drug with the intent to manufacture, while Jarboe was taken into custody on an outstanding Miller County warrant for drug possession.

A report of someone illegally taking items at the same address Wednesday and the return of the deputies led to the arrests of Tanner and Newsom. Tanner told deputies she was taking her belongings from the residence, according to another news release from the sheriff's department, and told them no one else was inside. She consented to a search of her car, where drug-related items allegedly were found. Newsome was found hiding in the home and arrested.

Tanner was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

On Friday, the sheriff's office announced additional felony drug charges were filed against Tanner and Newsome after they had been interviewed by deputies.

The sheriff's office also arrested two Sikeston men in separate incidents last week.

Dewey Wesley Davidson II, 38, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge for child endangerment by the sheriff's office Thursday and released Friday afternoon with a summons. Sheriff Rick Walter said in a news release the Missouri Division of Family Services called for assistance from deputies when bruises were observed on a juvenile. Davidson refused to speak with a deputy without an attorney and was arrested.

The sheriff's office also reported an incident at the Scott County Jail last week in which a man awaiting transport allegedly hit a female corrections officer in the face.

Terriante Maurice McClinton, 23, of Sikeston was charged with felony assault of a corrections officer and a misdemeanor for property damage after the incident, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

The officer was speaking with McClinton in one of the jail's housing pods when the alleged incident happened. McClinton, according to a news release, "struck the side of the officer's face, grabbing her prescription glasses and purposefully bent them until broken."

The officer was taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center for swelling and bruising to her face, where she was treated and released.
