KELSO, Mo. - A single-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday evening on Route PP proved fatal for one Scott City woman.

Beth R. Harper, 50, was driving her 2006 Chevrolet eastbound on Route PP two miles east of Kelso around 7 p.m. The Chevrolet ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.

Scott County coroner Scott Amick pronounced Harper dead at the scene at 7:11 p.m. Harper was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, the highway patrol said.

The deaths mark the 50th fatality in Troop E for 2009.
