SCOTT CITY -- Nicole Wadlington, 18, of Scott City was second runner up and winner of the speech trophy at the Missouri Miss T.E.E.N. Pageant held in Springfield in July.
She competed against 39 contestants from across the state.
Participants were judged in five areas, scholarship, volunteer activities, personal interviews, speech or talent and formal presentation.
Wadlington is salutatorian of the 1993 graduating class at Scott City High School. She was editor of the yearbook, a member of Pep Club, FBLA, National Honor Society, and foreign language club. She does volunteer work with Reading Is Fundamental, Therapeutic Horsemanship and Meals on Wheels.
