SCOTT CITY SENIORS NAMED ELK'S STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Cape Girardeau Elk's Lodge 639 has named two Scott City students students of the month.

Neil Sanders, 17, son of Donald Sanders and Deborah Cox, both of Scott City, was named September student of the month. He is a member of Future Business Leaders of America, the National Honor Society, science club, Key club, Model U.N. and Bible club. He was also named to the honor roll and received the World History Award.

Ewa Stepak, 16, was named October student of the month. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stepak of Scott City.

She entered Scott City High School as a freshman from Poland. She spoke very little English but is now bilingual.

She is a member of the pep club, science club, Future Business Leaders of America and Upward Bound.
