Schock's Pub in Scott City will host a memorial benefit concert for Randy "Coon Dog" Brant, close friend to several musicians from the Scott City area, including Randy Leiner, deceased frontman of The Melroys. The event will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday. Live music will be provided by surviving members of the band Chimes of Freedom, the River Cats and Afternoon Delight. A $5 donation will be collected at the door. Proceeds go to pay for Brant's burial expenses.
