BENTON, Mo. -- A 28-year-old Scott City man was arrested Sunday on suspicion that he sexually assaulted a teenager over the weekend.
According to a news release from Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter, John Greenlee allegedly molested a 13-year-old girl at her residence in Scott City. Authorities arrested Greenlee after being called to Southeast Missouri Hospital to investigate a reported sexual assault.
The victim told investigators the alleged molestation occurred late Saturday and early Sunday, Walter said.
Greenlee has been charged with first-degree statutory sodomy, statutory rape and three counts of child molestation. He's being held at the Scott County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
