BENTON, Mo. -- A four-month investigation led to the arrest of a Scott City couple on drug and child endangerment charges.
John Maglone, 28, and Yvaughna Maglone, 29, are charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and four counts of child endangerment, according to a news release provided by Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter.
Walter said the couple was arrested Wednesday. Investigators found items commonly used in manufacturing methamphetamine and a white, powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine. Walter said four children at the residence when officers arrived to conduct the search have been turned over to family members.
Bond for John Maglone is set at $100,000. Yvaughna Maglone's bond is set at $50,000.
A Sikeston, Mo., woman was arrested on drug-related charges following a routine vehicle stop Wednesday near Benton.
Marylynn Bozell, 40, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance, according to Walter.
He said Bozell was stopped Wednesday on Highway 77 near Benton for a traffic violation. Officers found about half an ounce of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, he said.
Bozell's bond was set at $100,000.
