SCOTT CITY -- The Scott City Council will hold a public forum Monday from 7-8 p.m. to field questions on the proposed half-cent sales tax rate increase in the city.
The question-and-answer session will he held at City Hall.
Mayor Shirley Young said the council is urging city residents to attend the session if they have any questions, concerns or comments about the proposed tax rate increase.
The increase will appear on the April 2 ballot, and will be used to fund street repairs and improvements in the city.
