JEFFERSON CITY -- State Rep. David Schwab, R-Jackson, has been given an additional assignment to serve on the agriculture committee.
When a preliminary list of committees was distributed 10 days ago, Schwab was left off one of the two committees that deal with agriculture. In the last session he had served on agri-business.
Schwab indicated he still wanted an assignment dealing with agriculture and was able to get a spot on the House Agriculture Committee.
Schwab gave up his seat on the Higher Education Committee and instead claimed a spot on the Banks and Financial Institutions Committee.
He will also continue to serve on the committees for professional registration and licensing; transportation; and appropriations for general administration and transportation.
Schwab is serving his fourth term from the 157th District.
