ALTENBURG -- Southeast Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals will hold its winter meeting Friday at Altenburg.
Guest speakers include Gale Hairston, president of the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals, and Nancy McGrew, remedial-reading teacher at Chaffee, who will discuss parental involvement.
The association hopes to promote study and discussion of problems of elementary education in the area and a feeling of fellowship among principals, other administrators, teachers and lay people.
The group includes administrators from Cape Girardeau, Scott, Bollinger, Perry, Stoddard, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Carter, Ripley, Butler, Dunklin, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Iron and Madison counties.
Officers for the 1990-91 school year are: president, Gerald Oliver, Sikeston; vice president, Mike Walker, Risco; and secretary-treasurer, Herman Morse, Dexter.
Faculty advisers are Dr. Frank Linn and Dr. Bill Hoover of Southeast Missouri State University.
