Davis filed at 8 a.m. and Thompson filed just a few minutes later.
Both candidates had announced last week their plans to seek re-election.
Candidates have until Feb. 4 at 5 p.m. to file at the board of education office, 61 N. Clark.
Two members will be elected for three-year terms at the April 7 election.
