School candidate forum set for Monday

Candidates for the Cape Girardeau School Board will take part in a candidate forum at 7 p.m. Monday. The forum, sponsored by the League of Women Voters, will be held at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center, 1080 S. Silver Springs Road, and will last one hour. Each candidate will be asked to give a short opening statement, then they will answer questions submitted by the audience. In the April 7 election, board members Kyle McDonald and Charles Bertrand face challengers Luther Bond and Betty Mosley for two open seats. The two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected.
