All three Jackson school board members whose terms expire in April filed for re-election Wednesday.
The filing period, which opened Tuesday, runs through Jan. 19.
The Rev. William Bird was the only Cape Girardeau school board incumbent to file Tuesday for re-election.
In Jackson, Dr. T. Wayne Lewis, Vicky McDowell and Darrell Hanschen all are eligible for re-election.
Lewis, first elected in 1987 is the veteran member of the board.
McDowell is seeking a third bid at office and is looking forward to helping the district in its search for a new superintendent.
Hanschen was elected to the board post in 1990.
School board members are elected for three-year terms. Every Missouri school district has seats open in the April 6 election.
