The Cape Girardeau Board of Education will meet in special session today to hire two assistant principals for Central High School.

A number of teaching positions are also slated to be filled at the meeting, scheduled for 11 a.m. at the board conference room, 61 N. Clark.

Superintendent Neyland Clark said 15 people have applied for the two administrative spots at Central High. Two are being recommended after being interviewed by newly-named high-school Principal Dan Tallent and James Englehart, director of secondary education.

Also on the agenda under action items is an application to hold summer school for students in the district's special education program.
