Cape Girardeau's Board of Education will hold an orientation meeting today at 9 a.m. at 61 N. Clark in the board of education conference room.
The meeting is being held to familiarize new board members with the operation of the school district. For five of the seven school board members, Monday will be their first full board meeting.

Three members, Harry Rediger, Bob Blank and Dr. C. John Ritter, were appointed to the school board April 27 by the Cape Girardeau County Commission. They were sworn in at a special meeting of the board April 28, but no other business was conducted at that meeting.
The school board's May meeting is Monday at 6 p.m., at the conference room at 61 N. Clark.
Monday's agenda includes discussion of bank bids, the A+ Partnership Plan and the second reading of a graduation policy for Central High School.
