The Cape Girardeau school board approved a $26,000 bid for technical wiring for junior high classrooms at its noon meeting Friday. The Cape Girardeau school board approved a $26,000 bid for technical wiring for junior high classrooms at its noon meeting Friday.

Two companies submitted bids, with the low bid of $26,179.05 from Technology and Networking Inc. being accepted. The other bid was $27,248.14 from Telcom Services Installation Inc.

The junior high will be wired for data and computer input to each classroom.

The company selected has the required certifications, which allows the school district to qualify for manufacturers' warranties.

The board also approved a list of faculty and staff hiring and resignations.

New certified personal approved were Tammy Clover, Carla Fee, Lori Fritsche, April Garner, Rebecca Ledbetter, Christy McGowan, Renee McLain, Kelly Miranda, Jennifer Parker, Patti Pyeatte, Becky Ridgon, Amy Surman, Yvonne Thomas, Jennifer Watts, Whitney Wiedfeld, Carmen Winders.

Resignations were approved from Theresa Lumos, Becky Stein, Debra Becker and Christina Vetter from the certified staff.
