The 1996 Missouri National Teenager scholarship program is now accepting applications for state finals to be held in May.

The state competition, held at Rockhurst College in Kansas City, is a preliminary contest for the 25th annual America's National Teenager contest, which will be held in Nashville, Tenn.

Girls age 13-18 are eligible to compete. Winners will be selected on scholastic achievements, leadership activities, community service, interviews, poise and personality. More than $100,000 in cash and tuition scholarships will be awarded.
