The 10th annual Mississippi River Valley Scenic Drive will be held Saturday and Sunday. Rural communities of Southeast Missouri participate in the drive by holding fairs, festivals, living history events, music and more during this weekend. In addition, the drive itself is along a scenic route filled with dogwood and azaleas.

Altenburg, where there will be tours of historic sites including 1939 Concordia Log College/Seminary; Immanuel Lutheran Church; and Trinity Lutheran Church/Museum. Call 824-5542.

Bollinger Mill State Historic Site near Jackson, where there will be tours of this 19th century grist mill. Admission $1 for adults, 50 cents for children. Call 243-4591.
Brazeau, where there will be museum tours, crafts sale, historical demonstrations, miniature train rides and bluegrass music. Call 824-5630.
Commerce, where the town's museum and its exhibits on its history of the town founded in 1790 will be open 1 to 5 p.m. Call 264-3960.
GT Stables near Patton will be open for tours. Call 866-2755.
Marble Hill, where the Massey Log House will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the senior center will hold a crafts sale and serve a chicken and dumpling dinner 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; the Will Mayfield College Arts and Science Building will be open for tours 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; plus there will be a plant sale and quilt display. Saxon Lutheran Memorial, an early 1800s log cabin village, in Frohna will be open for tours. Call 824-5404.

The Spring Craft and Gift Show at American Legion Hall in Jackson will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature crafts, gift items, antiques and collectibles; admission is $1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., free after 2 p.m. Call 266-3688.
Wicecarver Store in Marble Hill will hold a bazaar with crafts, baked goods and quilts. Call 238-2750.
Sedgewickville Methodist Church in Sedgewickville will hold a chicken and dumpling dinner. Call 866-2529 for times and fee.
On the tour on Sunday only:
Pocahontas, where there will be a quilt display and a beef supper, which will cost $5.50, at 3 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church; and free hymn sing at Apple Creek Presbyterian Church. Call 833-6910.
St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Apple Creek will hold a breakfast from 7:30 to noon for $6 per person. Call 788-2341.
