The third Shipyard Music Festival set sail for Century Casino in downtown Cape Girardeau Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, and brought with it a large crowd of area residents and travelers with performances from five national and local music acts. The first night of the festival kicked off with Roanoke, followed by locals Ivas John and Jason Heeter, then Motherfolk and Son Volt finished off the night. The event features two stages, one sponsored by Southeast Missouri State University and one by the casino, and continues all-day Saturday.
