Scott City residents and businesses interested in donating money or new toys may do so by taking them to the Scott City High School principal's office or city hall.

Helderman said the school estimates it will need to raise at least $1,100 to purchase toys for 90 children this year. "That's what we raised last year," he said.

The Scott City Toybox project is part of the Scott City Women's Club drive to provide clothes for the needy. "We take care of the toys and they raise funds for the clothes," Helderman said.

Any questions about the projects can be answered by Helderman or Scott City student body president Brant Gunther at 264-2138.
