SATURDAY SOCK HOPE, CAR SHOW WILL BENEFIT `MAKE-A-WISH'

BLOOMFIELD -- A "Spring Car Show and 50s-60s Sock Hop" will be held at Bloomfield City Park here Saturday.

The day's activities get under way at 10 a.m. with registration for the show and sock hop.

Several games will be presented from 2 to 4 p.m., with the sock hop to be held from 5 to 8 p.m.

The cost of the sock hop is $4 per couple. Two $25 prizes will be awarded: for best-dressed couple and best dancers.

Entry fee for the car show is $10, with awards to the top three in each class. Other awards will be presented for "Contestants Choice," and for "Long Distance" entries.

All proceeds will go to "Make-A-Wish Foundation.
