Summer will be over before we know it! How many books have you read so far? Don't forget, you have until Saturday to read 20 books and turn in your blue form to get your name entered in the drawing for some awesome prizes! For every 20 books you read, your name will be put in the drawing again! So, the next time you're tempted to ask your Mom, "What is there to do? I'm bored." Grab a book and travel to someplace exciting!
Our Wednesday afternoon Story Time has provided loads of fun as we listen to stories, make crafts and play games.
* On July 18, the guest speaker was "Mister Twister," Steven Payne. By twisting balloons, Payne makes all kinds of animals.
* On July 25, magician Thomas Burke performed his magic tricks, even suspending one member of the audience into the air!
* The last Story Time for the summer will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The program is entitled "Road Trip!" Please be sure to sign up at the desk or call 243-5150, because space is very limited!
* Book logs are due by Saturday.
* August 22 is the starting day for school in the Jackson School District. While you're studying hard to make good grades, don't forget to take some break time and read just for fun! Come visit us at Jackson Public Library often to check out books. We can continue to travel through reading books even though summer's over. See you soon!
Preschool Story Time will begin when school starts on Aug. 22 for older brother or sister! We are offering two sessions: Tuesday afternoons at 1 o'clock and Wednesday mornings at 10:30, in the third-floor conference room. We'll read stories, make crafts, play games and have lots of fun! This is for any child 2 years old through pre-kindergarten. Anyone who is interested needs to have Mom or Dad call Miss Terri at 243-5150.
