NEELYVILLE, Mo. -- Neelyville students will be facing Saturday school if any more days are missed during the school year superintendent Larry Graves told school board members at Monday night's board meeting.
"We are going to have to run Saturday school if we miss anymore days this year," Graves said. "Otherwise we will be running the school year into June."
The last day of school is now scheduled for May 30. Students have already lost 10 school days to snow and the flu bug. Makeup days are scheduled for March 14, March 21, April 21-24 and May 27-30. Students still will be allowed the Good Friday and Easter holidays, however, the Easter break will be shortened.
Another concern raised by Graves dealt with the lower attendance in January due to students ill with the flu.
