"Competitive strategy" will be the topic of a satellite seminar to be presented at the Show Me Center on Southeast Missouri State University campus tonight. "Competitive strategy" will be the topic of a satellite seminar to be presented at the Show Me Center on Southeast Missouri State University campus tonight.

The speaker will be Michael Porter of the Harvard Business School.

"Porter is the nation's leading guru on competitive strategy," said D.K. "Skip" Smith, a professor of the Harrison College of Business at Southeast Missouri State University, which is sponsoring the local program along with Cybertel.

"We're pleased to present this program," said Gerald McDougall, dean of Harrison Business College. "Porter is a national leader in discussions of competitiveness. About 35 people have indicated they will attend."

The cost of the seminar is $40 for individuals, but companies wanting to send five-person teams may do so for $150 per team. Reservations and additional information are available by calling 651-2112.

The program, consisting of five topics, will start at 5 p.m., and end about 8 p.m.
