Sander's True Value Hardware Stores in Cape Girardeau and Jackson have taken on a new merchandise look for winter.

Several shelves are filled with new merchandise.

Jim Sander, John Sander, and David Sander attended a recent hardware merchandise market show in Chicago recently.

"We have some new lines available," said a spokesman for the firm. "We've added cut glass bowls and plates, cast iron cookware and many other gift items. We've also added what we call a `Trim-A-Tree' shop, which includes several Christmas decorative items, along with artificial trees.

Included on the shelves are new heaters kerosene, electric and baseboard and a new brand of water heaters and fireplace enclosures. Also new in inventory is a new line of bathroom accessories, additional lines of master mechanic tools and hardware items.

For the first time in a few years, the business has added some toys to the inventory.

"We have tricycles, wooden sleds, and toboggans," said the spokesman.

Sander's Hardware stores are located in Town Plaza in Cape Girardeau, and 113 W. Main in Jackson.
