Volunteers and donations of food are needed for the Salvation Army's annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner.
The dinner will run from noon to 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at the Salvation Army, 701 Good Hope.
Jackie Thieke of the Salvation Army said attendance usually averages between 400 and 500 people.
Volunteers wil help "set up the table and things and they can help prepare the food. The day before they might de-bone turkeys, cut up pies, things like that. They can help deliver meals and clean up afterwards," she said.
Also needed are donations of food items, including turkeys, hams, mashed potatoes, green beans, ingredients for stuffing, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls and desserts. Donations can be brought to the Salvation Army building on Good Hope.
To volunteer, or for more information, call Jackie Thieke, 335-7000.
