SAFE NIGHT USA FEATURES COMEDIAN

HAYTI HEIGHTS -- G-Thang, a St. Louis native and touring comedian, will perform at the Caruthersville Recreation Center Saturday during Safe Night USA.

The event will be from 6 to 10 p.m. and is sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of the Bootheel. The event's purpose is to give children positive entertainment alternatives and to send a message children can have fun without drugs or alcohol.

The Boys and Girls Club of the Bootheel provides activities for children in Hayti, Hayti Heights, Kennett, Steele, Marston, Charleston and Caruthersville.

G-Thang, who has appeared on numerous television shows including "Martin," "Def Comedy Jam" and "The Hughleys," is a graduate of Lindenwood College, where he received a bachelor's degree in communications.
