SAFE KIDS COALITION WILL GIVE AWAY 10 SAFETY SEATS

The Cape Girardeau Area Safe Kids Coalition will present 10 convertible car seats today to area families.

The presentatation will be made at the Primary Care Clinic, located in the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center, 1121 Linden, in Cape Girardeau.

The Missouri chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is donating car seats to Safe Kids coalitions throughout the state. These seats will be distributed to low-income families that have a small child and are in need of a car seat.

The local loaner seat program, located at the Easter Seal Society, is in need of infant car seats. With the current number of available seats, the agency is not able to fill all requests.

Anyone wanting to donate a usable infant seat or make a contribution toward the purchase of seats may contact the Easter Seal Society by calling 335-3377.
