Safe House for Women will host its second annual banquet and awards ceremony in Cape Girardeau today at The Concourse, 420 N. Broadview St.
The banquet will recognize the service of Safe House's volunteers, partners, donors and staff, a news release from Safe House said.
The event will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be at 6:30 p.m.
The keynote address will be by Division IV associate circuit judge Scott Lipke. Distinguished Service Awards will be presented to Cheryl Mothes and Rick Hetzel, Steve Williams of the city of Cape Girardeau and Deb Maevers of Pastimes Antiques.
Tickets for the banquet are $25 per person and are available at the Safe House outreach office, 230 N. Spring St., or by calling 335-7745.
Safe House for Women provides comprehensive services to adults and children who have experienced domestic violence. Programs include a crisis hotline, emergency shelter, court advocacy, counseling, case management and prevention/education outreach.
