The Safe House for Women today announced via news release that its fifth annual Vintage NOW Fashion Show -- with a theme of The Fabulous Fifties -- will be Oct. 17 at the Osage Centre in Cape Girardeau.

Vintage NOW is hosted by Pastimes Antiques, and net proceeds benefit the Safe House for Women.

The release quoted Deb Maevers, owner of Pastimes Antiques and Vintage NOW founder and executive director, as follows: "Thanks to our outstanding volunteer leadership team and the support of the Cape Girardeau community, Vintage NOW has become one of the premier social and charitable events of the season. Vintage NOW 5 promises to raise the bar yet again, and we hope everyone will join in this one-of-a-kind event."

Last year, Vintage NOW drew more than 1,100 people and raised more than $40,000 to provide comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence through the work of the Safe House for Women, according to the release.
