Geri Rothman-Serot, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, will be in Cape Girardeau Monday to officially open the Southeast Missouri office of the Clinton-Gore Victory 92 headquarters.
Rothman-Serot will speak at the 6 p.m. opening of the office at 1858 Broadway.
This is one of seven offices being established around the state to coordinate efforts between the Missouri Democratic Party, the Clinton-Gore campaign, and the Democratic candidates running for statewide offices.
The telephone number for the office is 335-4436.
Tom McMahon, who was active in Sen. Bob Kerry's presidential effort earlier this year, will direct efforts of the Cape Girardeau office.
Rothman-Serot presently serves as a member of the St. Louis County Council and is trying to unseat Republican Sen. Christopher Bond.
She finished first in a 14 candidate field in the Democratic primary last month.
